Memphis’ leading scorer (27.6 points per game), Ja Morant, is expected to miss the next two weeks (at least) with right knee soreness.

Morant sustained the injury last Friday against the Hawks and has missed the past two games. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks.

“[Re-evaluating him in two weeks is] the plan right now,” Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins. “We expect him to make a full recovery before the playoffs.”

Morant missed 12 games this season with a left knee issue as well as the game before the Atlanta tilt with a sore back.

Team officials say that tests showed no major issues and that rest “is the best course of action.”
