GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger Rants Against Republicans Who Support Putin

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) tweeted a video this Tuesday detailing his disappointment with some of his fellow Republican members of Congress for their “unseriousness” about Russia.

“We’ve got a bunch of children in this job. We’ve got a bunch of people who sit around,” Kinzinger said. He said he is fed up because members don’t understand the threat from Russian President Vladimir Putin and China.

Kingziner said the Republican party is concerned with winning the next election and plotting outrages instead of speaking against Putin’s actions in Ukraine. During his rant, Kinzinger condemned House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California). “He has not said a word about his members showing Putin sympathy,” he said. “You guys deserve better.”

Although he is leaving Congress at the end of his term, Kingzinger hopes his party “remembers where our foundations are and not be Putin sympathetic anymore.”
