The 2022 Moab Easter Jeep Safari is in full swing and we’ve seen everything that Jeep and Jeep Performance Parts have brought out to the desert to play with. Teasing for vehicles began with the Grand Cherokee 4xe and featured a couple of Gladiator trucks and 20th Anniversary models along the way. Now we know one of the Jeeps was indeed a special 20th Anniversary edition that could be pushed into production sometime in the near future.

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. In short, the Rubicon is a by-product of Jeep taking into consideration what enthusiasts were trying to do on their own. Named after the Northern California Rubicon trail, the Jeep Wrangler was meant to be the epitome of off-roading for its time. Decked out with front and rear lockers, Dana 44 axles, disconnecting sway bar, oversized tires, and rock rails, it was top of its class for its time. For the 20th Anniversary model, the Rubicon will be based off the 392 Rubicon platform meaning it will sport the coveted 6.4L V8 Hemi engine.
Some distinguishing features for the Rubicon will include a matte Granite Crystal exterior vinyl wrap underscored by subtle gold badging and tow hooks, an American flag fender decal, Mopar swing gate air compressor, and of course a 20th Anniversary hood decal. Furthermore, the Jeep also features a dual-mode performance exhaust that can be switched between wild and outrageous (loud and louder) as well as a hood scoop, custom half-doors, a sky one-touch power top and removable side panels.
If that wasn’t enough, Jeep Performance Parts adorned the Jeep with some extra hardware to make it as capable as possible off-road. Highlights of those add-ons include steel bumpers, a Warn winch, 2-inch lift kit, steel belly pan, and 17-inch Mopar bead lock wheels wrapped in massive 37-inch BFGoodrich mud terrain tires. All in all, it looks like something that Jeep could offer to customers as a celebratory package soon. Or something that JL Wrangler owners could easily bolt together. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
