Chris Evans Makes Case For Adoption With National Rescue Dog Day Post With Pup Dodger

Chris Evans shared the sweetest photo of his rescued pup Dodger on Instagram. It was in celebration of National Rescue Dog Day which happened on Friday.

The picture shows Evan driving while Dodger looks to the road ahead with him while resting his snout on Evans’ shoulder adorably. We have Dodger to thank for Evans even joining Instagram in the first place. He said in a Tonight Show interview he joined because “I had too many good pictures of my dog. I was like, they’re being wasted in my phone.”

Evans has an adorable story to go along with his adorable pup. He met Dodger when the dog was an extra in an adoption center location while Evans was shooting a scene for the film Gifted. Evans said when he realized all the doggie actors were actually up for adoption, he wasn’t able to resist taking Dodger.

Last year, Evans shared the moment he met Dodger at the Savannah dog rescue center. It’s clear immediately that the two have a connection, with Dodger even reaching through the door to get closer to Evans.

“There are so many loving animals at shelters who are in desperate need of a home. Visit a shelter and leave with a best friend,” Evans wrote.
