GMC HUMMER EV SUV RECENTLY SEEN TESTING AT MOAB

The GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 pickup truck is currently in the hands of customers, and we can confidently say that they’ll be enjoying it, 1,000 horsepower and all. However, the Hummer EV story is far from over, and it’s only a matter of time before the GMC Hummer EV SUV makes its way down the GM Factory Zero assembly line before heading to eager customers, and it has now been out testing in Moab.

GMC Hummer EV SUV: Details

The GMC Hummer EV SUV conquered Moab with ease as it boasts what GM President Mark Reuss stated was a 49-degree departure angle. Despite the massive super SUV’s size, it also has a tight turning radius of just 35.4-feet. For comparison, the best departure angle you can get with any current Jeep Wrangler is 40.4 degrees. So the vehicle is a competitor when it comes to taking on the tough stuff.

The photos posted on the GMC Instagram account don’t reveal anything we don’t already know about the SUV; the spectacular approach angle enabled the wheels to grasp onto surfaces and pull the big electric SUV up and over obstacles. In addition, the great articulation helps keep traction and keep the hefty electric vehicle from getting stuck as easily.

Testing in Moab marks the final testing validation for the GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1. The vehicle will launch early next year with an 830 horsepower drivetrain and around 300 miles of driving range. Pricing for the Hummer EV SUV will start at $105,595 before options.

We suggest that when placing your order, you get a written agreement with the dealership on the final price, that way, you don’t get hit with an unexpected markup that’ll crush your dreams of owning one of these super trucks.

Later in 2023, GMC will release an EV2X variant with up to 625 ponies, a similar range of around 300 miles, but the price will be slightly lower at $89,995.
