Former mousesports coach Allan "Rejin" Petersen was one of nearly 40 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coaches banned for using the controversial "coach bug." Now, Rejin is returning to the competitive scene as a coach.

The ongoing investigation into the spectator bug found that many top coaches throughout the competitive CSGO scene had used a glitch to unfairly see the map including enemy locations. Rejin was one of the coaches who used the bug to his team's advantage, with the Esports Integrity Commission revealing he used it in seven matches between 2017 and 2019 while he was coaching Tricked.

The Esports Integrity Commission initially gave him a three-year ban but it was shortened after Rejin assisted with the investigation. It was then reduced to just under 20 months, making it the second-longest punishment in response to the widespread coaching bug. The longest ban was given to Aleksandr "zoneR" Bogatiryev, who received the full three-year suspension.

While booted from the competitive scene, Rejin worked with MAD Lions as a team manager. He then moved to Entropiq Prague as an analyst. Now, Rejin will replace Allan Hender as Endpoint's coach. This new opportunity with the Danish team is part of Rejin's journey to improve his reputation in the scene despite still being permanently banned from Valve-hosted Majors.

Rejin said it was a "no-brainer" to join Endpoint when asked about the opportunity. He said it's a chance for a "comeback" and he plans to "guide the lads to greater success." Rejin added in the statement that he knows he has "betrayed the scene and the community" and he now wants to earn his way back.

"I will keep grinding and give back to the community," Rejin said.

Despite Rejin's use of the bug, Endpoint has also expressed excitement about the signing. The organization said it was excited to work with such an experienced coach. Endpoint took part in the first European open qualifier for ESL Challenger Valencia 22 with a lot of rookie talent. Some fans felt that Rejin could have joined a more experienced top-tier team but others are interested to see what impact Rejin will have on the promising squad.
