Peter Navarro charged for failing to testify in front of a Congressional January 6 committee

The US Justice Department indicated Peter Navarro, former Trump advisor for failing to testify in front of a Congressional January 6th committee investigating an attack on the US Capital.

Navarro is the second former official to face contempt charges, following Trump advisor Steve Bannon.

Talking to MSNBC, a day before the charges came in, Navarro said that he would subpoena President Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and other “clowns and kangaroos” should the Republicans win 2024 election.

“I will take Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin and Nancy Pelosi and Elaine Luria and all of those clowns and kangaroos,” said Navarro. “I’ll take Biden and every single senior staff member in there, I will put them with subpoenas, and we’ll start with the impeachment of Biden for Ukraine, the southern border, all manner of things he is guilty of.”

On Thursday, June 9th at 8:00pm January 6th committee will hold a hearing “to provide the American people with a summary of our findings about the coordinated, multi-step effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.”
