CSGO players can now reproduce smoke through the floor bug

The long-standing smoke through the floor bug is no longer random. A player has broken the code to reproduce the curios smoke glitch.

It’s no secret that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has had minor bug problems, with grenades suddenly slipping through the ground. When this would randomly happen, the smoke no longer remained a safe hideous. At the time, the bug couldn’t be replicated and it would happen when players least expected it.

But, that is no longer the case. A player has found a way to reproduce the lethal smoke through the floor bug, which often creates a one-way window. It was always deadly, but now it’s inevitable.

Can you reproduce smoke through the floor bug in CSGO?

Yes. It’s now possible to recreate the glitch, at least on Inferno. The key is to drop the smoke under a player model for it to slide inside the surface.

A player named o40 shared the game-breaking hack that may mar the official matchmaking in the coming months.

o40 demonstrated that players could replicate the infamous bug in a few simple steps. Apparently, if you right-click to drop the grenade under a player model’s feet, it disappears into the floor. The glitch creates a one-way if you boost on top of your teammate. The enemy won’t see this trick as anything more than a random glitch triggered by the server.

This bug should be reproduced on all maps with displacements and uneven surfaces where the ground isn’t too steep. According to the players, it has been tested and worked on Dust 2, Mirage, Ancient, Overpass, and Cache.

It may seem like a meaningless glitch, but it’s actually game-breaking, especially in high-ranked queues where players know how to exploit a bug like this one. Valve may finally roll out a fix for smoke through the floor bug now that players have discovered a way to reproduce it. Until then, be wary of half-smokes that have slipped into the void.

What’s a CSGO grenade through floor bug?

It’s a long-standing bug that gets triggered when a grenade hits an enemy in the leg. Many players didn’t know about it until it happened to Astralis’ in-game leader Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander during a pro match. A player has recently found a way to reproduce it on Inferno.
