Alt-Right Commentator Milo Yiannopoulos Interns For Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 27: Protestors hold an effigy of former President Donald Trump as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) speaks during a news conference outside the U.S. Department of Justice on July 27, 2021 in Washington, DC. The group of...

Milo Yiannopoulos, a controversial British alt-right commentator, has come to Washington, D.C., as an intern for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia).

Yiannopoulos has recently posted an image on social media with his intern ID badge on top of a designer attaché with the caption, “Finally been persuaded out of retirement,” writing that he was hired for an “unpaid internship with a friend.”

On the podcast Fever Dream, right-wing commentators Will Sommer and guest host Zachary Petrizzo discussed Yiannopoulous’ journey to Washington and the political right.

“I think it’s fair to say he’s up to getting attention and, who knows, maybe berating members of Congress,” Sommer said.

The two speculate that the British ex-pat is behind the new podcast series MGT Live, where Greene mistakenly said Bill Gates will make people eat meat out of a “peach tree dish.”

Greene said in a statement: “So I have an intern that was raped by a priest as a young teen, was gay, has offended everyone at some point, turned his life back to Jesus and Church, and changed his life. Great story!”

Greene has frequently touted conspiracies that the Democrats are pedophiles and has also endorsed Trump’s election lies. Yiannopoulos had also been a demagogue in spreading misinformation about Democrats.

It is unclear how long Yianopoulos has been interning for Greene, but Yianopoulos has been seen at Green’s rallies and events in recent weeks.
