First look at Reaver 2.0 bundle reveals new unique melee

The highly awaited Valorant skin bundle Reaver 2.0 has been unveiled, and it’s everything fans had expected and more.

Reaver is one of the oldest skin collections in Valorant, but it’s still relevant in Episode 5. The deep purple gun skins left a lasting impression on players with its immersive theme and sound elements that had an electric feel. Fans have long been requesting that Riot bring the iconic Reaver set back, and the developer has listened. The new bundle has the potential to overshadow the original Reaver melee.

The brand new Reaver collection will soon hit the stores. Take a look at the spin-off of the most sought-after skins in Valorant.

Reaver 2.0 bundle features new karambit melee

The appearance of the new Reaver 2.0 bundle, highlighted by a new karambit melee, is the same as the original version. Dark tones, regal textures, and immersive themes are the highlights of the new skin line. Its unknown if the variants would be the same as the original Reaver bundle, as Riot has previously tinkered with colors in skin sequels.

While the guns are surely eye-catching, it’s the sound element that’s making waves. Reaver guns whispered when Riot hadn’t yet introduced the voiceover concept for skins in Valorant. Unlike Protocol, Reaver guns don’t talk, but the sounds accentuates an almost ghastly, dark energy in the weapons. While the VFX and sound elements were subtle in the firearms, the Reaver karambit knife could be particularly loud.

It seems that the new Reaver 2.0 melee will follow the same ominous beat. A teaser released by Riot Games first led the fans to believe it’s likely an agent voice line attached to it. However, a quick comparison with the Champions Karambit deduced that the spine-chilling element is from the Reaver knife.

The knife may cost an odd price for a premium bundle with a unique animation. According to leaks, the entire bundle is priced at the usual 1,775 VP per skin, but the Reaver 2.0 karambit in particular costs 4,350 VP. Something like that has never happened before as the prices are usually set based on tier. However, the current pricing is clashing with the established tiers. Either it’s a mistake, or Riot will charge players a new amount for a new Reaver skin..

The Reaver 2.0 bundle will go live on August 10 along with new agent balance changes.
