2023 FORD BRONCO SPORT GETTING 'BLACK DIAMOND' OFF-ROAD PACKAGE

The Ford Bronco Black Diamond represents a point in the trim level hierarchy where the reborn SUV starts to really equip the off-roading extras. Here is where customers can find a standard locking differential, steel front and rear bumpers, rock rails, heavy duty skid plates, and seven GOAT modes. So to have a Black Diamond Bronco means quite a bit. And for the smaller, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, the Black Diamond name is added to the roster. Except it’s not a full trim level, but a package.

Per a Bronco Nation forum post, Ford has released the 2023 Bronco Sport order guide earlier this month. Pricing information remains a mystery for now, but the post revealed the order books are open despite the build and price tool being stuck on 2022. We also know the package itself will be made available on the Base, Big Bend, Outerbanks, and Badlands trim levels as late availability. In the order guide, there was no mention of a Heritage edition, despite our own investigation leading us to believe there will be one, perhaps it just hasn’t been announced yet.

The new Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond package will add underbody protection, upgraded All-Terrain tires (225/65R17) with special 17-inch Aluminum painted wheels. The add-on also provides a Black Diamond graphics package which hasn’t seen the light of day to this point. Also new for the 2023 Bronco Sport are the additions of Eruption Green and Atlas Blue Metallic while both Bronze Smoke Metallic and Velocity Blue Metallic get removed from your available color options.
