Pokemon Championship Series 2023 reveals regionals schedule

Pokemon Worlds is still underway but the Pokemon TCG community is already looking forward to an action-packed 2023 season. The Pokemon Company has announced the entire schedule and it it looks like the season is set to start next month.

After years without regionals, the Pokemon TCG community is excited to start planning for a year jam-packed with competitive events leading up to the next Pokemon Worlds competition. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming 2023 season.

What is the Pokemon Championship Series?

The Pokemon Championship Series is a year-long series of organized competitions that allow players to earn points in an attempt to qualify for the Pokemon World Championships. There are four Pokemon games included in the Championship Series:

  • Pokemon TCG
  • Pokemon VGC
  • Pokemon GO
  • Pokemon UNITE

The largest source of Championship Points come from placing in regionals, which are large events with around 1,000 competitors held throughout North America, Europe, and other locations internationally. At regionals, there are three divisions:

  • Junior: 2011 or later
  • Senior: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
  • Masters: 2006 or earlier

Pokemon Championship Series 2023 schedule

Players and fans alike should get ready for a busy 2023 season, especially for TCG players. While VGC players won’t have any tournaments until 2023, there are TCG regionals as soon as next month. Here is the North American schedule:

The 2023 Pokemon World Championship date and location has not been revealed just yet.
