Carrie Johnson's Emotional Farewell To Downing Street

The Prime Minister’s wife, Carrie Johnson, went to Instagram to share her emotional message before leaving No.10.

In her message on social media, Carrie Johnson posted an image of her husband and two children walking through the doors of No10 for one last time.

“Going through the No10 door together for the last time. I expect Wilf and Romy won’t remember it but they’ve had an incredibly happy start to their lives growing up here.”

She wished “best of luck” to the family of Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss.

In his final speech in front of No10, Boris Johnsons said “it is time for us all to get behind Liz Truss.”

Johnson said that “compassionate Conservative government will do everything we can to get people through this crisis and this country will endure it and we will win.”

The Prime Minister said that as he leaves, he believes “our union is so strong that those who want to break it up, they’ll keep trying, but they will never, ever succeed.”

Truss will begin life as PM today.
