SANTA MONICA, CALIF. - Sept. 22, 2022 - KRAFTON, Inc. today unveiled the full details for PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2022, the premier esports event that will crown the overall champions of the 2022 PUBG Esports season. PGC 2022 will be a global in-person, LAN tournament from Nov. 1-20, where the world’s top 32 professional PUBG Esports teams will compete for a share of a $2 million USD prize pool.
Event Schedule and Structure
PGC 2022 will run from Nov. 1-20 as teams from the Americas, Europe, Asia and APAC compete in weekly showdowns to earn prize money. The tournament will be held in-person at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, United Arab Emirates and will be streamed across PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook channels. Prizing Details
The total PGC 2022 prize pool consists of $2 million USD, which will be distributed to the participating teams based on their final ranks of the event. Additionally, the MVP of the PGC 2022 will receive an extra prize of $10,000 USD.
Pick’em Challenge
KRAFTON will once again be holding the Pick’em Challenge - an event where fans can predict the winner of PGC 2022 in order to win prizes. Fans can earn free voting coupons and purchase PGC 2022 items by visiting the in-game esports tab. Similar to PUBG Nations Cup 2022, KRAFTON is committed to rewarding PUBG Esports players by supplementing the $2 million USD prize pool with 30% of profit made from the Pick’em Challenge.
