As FPS issues plague Fnatic’s Worlds training, top laner Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen has taken to social media to vent his frustrations.
According to Wunder, Fnatic has been dealing with low FPS issues since arriving at Worlds. He claims to be experiencing severe FPS issues at a Worlds boot camp in Mexico. The Worlds 2022 Play-In stage is being held in Mexico City’s Arena Esports Stadium, which usually hosts the LLA. Play-In teams have traveled to the city to prepare for the Worlds Championship by practicing on PCs supplied by Riot Games.
The majority of Fnatic’s roster has already traveled from Europe ahead of its opening match on September 29. Top laner Wunder came out with the complaint on the evening of September 27 just days ahead of kickoff.
The former-MSI champion claimed that he and his teammates have “been playing on between 30-100 FPS in every game” since their arrival in Mexico, adding that “Riot is not resolving the issue.” He even claims that the issues have meant that, until that point, Fnatic “didn’t have any efficient practice and playing on stage will be the only time we can have a human setup.”

G2 general manager Romain Bigeard replied to Wunder’s tweet joking that Fnatic might have “got the computers we had to use during MSI.” indicating that the side had similar problems when attending this year’s MSI in South Korea.
Another reply from former Fnatic analyst Gary “Tolki” Mialaret pushed some of the responsibility back onto the team and any other organization also facing issues with Riot-provided PCs, saying “Riot has provided s****y PCs at Worlds for 5 years now” and that teams should “handle IT themselves.”
