Huskers Finish Perfect Road Weekend With Maryland Victory

Nebraska is perfect in league play through two weekends

Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook knows his team has plenty to do to keep improving, but his team is a perfect 4-0 in league play after a four-set Sunday victory at Maryland: 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 25-22.

The No. 3 Huskers hit just .099 in the defensive battle, holding the Terrapins to .046. Nebraska did a good job at the service line for the second consecutive game, notching seven aces and just five errors.

Whitney Lauenstein had 11 kills, seven digs, six blocks and four aces. Bekka Allick was the most efficient Husker on the day with nine kills on .571 hitting with four blocks. Madi Kubik added nine kills and 11 digs.

Anni Evans had 19 assists. Kennedi Orr added 18.

Nebraska stays on the road this week for a rematch with Michigan State Thursday.
