Elsewhere in the group, Hidemasa Morita's Sporting Lisbon lost 2-0 at home to Marseille, with the Japan midfielder heading to the bench in the 22nd minute after an early red card for winger Ricardo Esgaio forced the Portuguese side to change formation.
Marseille moved to second in the four-team group on six points, leading third-place Sporting on goal difference.
