The Enyo Super Truck from Ringbrothers is their most extreme creation yet. Year after year, custom car builder Ringbrothers has brought some of the most impressive vehicles to SEMA, and this year is no different. The truck has around 10,000 human hours put into its creation.
Ringbrothers Enyo 1948 Chevrolet Super Truck: Details
The Ringrbothers Enyo Chevrolet Truck is underpinned by a unique chassis developed and built by Ahlman Engineering and Roadster Shop. It has cantilever independent suspension on all four corners, as seen on open-wheel race cars. And, as seen in the pictures, it has open wheels with flat tires. Also, race car-like is the onboard air jacks, and to ensure there’s plenty of stopping power, six-piston Brembo brakes are all around.
The Ringbrothers 1948 Chevy Super Truck ‘Enyo’ is powered by a Goodwin 510-cubic inch (8.4 liters) marine racing V8, which makes 1,000 horsepower. All the power goes to the back via a 4L80 Corvette transaxle with a torque tube, which should help with weight distribution. The engine also features custom-built titanium side pipes.
Topping the wild racing chassis is an equally absurd body. It’s not just modeled after a 1948 Chevy truck, but it is a real steel 1958 Chevy truck cab. Though Ringbrothers has narrowed it by 4 inches, the same amount has chopped the roof. In addition, the truck’s body has been lengthened and lowered to give it a sportier look. Undoubtedly, it helps with aerodynamics as this was intended for racing. Additional parts, such as the aero bits and headlight surrounds, are all crafted out of carbon fiber. You may have also noticed that the truck bed is not home for tools and lumber but instead used to house mechanical parts such as the radiator, air jack system, and, of course, the crucial rear suspension.
The engine sticking out of the vehicle’s hood and overall shape makes this truck a true work of art, coupled with immense track capability.
