The SEMA Battle of the Builders presented by Mothers Polishes has been narrowed dow to the top 12 finalists, with the winner to be announced today. Cameras will be following along at the Las Vegas Convention Center to document the journey for a TV program set to air on Saturday, January 28, 2023. The Top 12 Builders fall into four categories, with three for each. The top 4 will be announced in the North Hall on November 3 at 3 pm, and the winner will be crowned on Friday, November 4, at 3:30 pm, on Silver Drive.
The 2022 SEMA Battle of the Builders: Contenders
The first category for the 2022 SEMA Show Battle of the Builders is Hot Rod/ Hot Rod Trucks. Unsurprisingly, the Ringbrothers 1948 Chevrolet Pickup located at Mothers Booth #22357 is one of the contenders. Joining that magnificent truck is Tyler Nelson’s 1958 Ford F100 located on Mothers South Silver Lot, and Tim Devlin’s 1934 Chevrolet Roadster located on HRIA Booth #23295.
The following category is for Sport Compact, Luxury, and Exotic vehicles, with TJ Russell’s 1991 Porsche 911 located in the BAJA Front of Central Hall V052. The other two contenders in that segment are Shawn Bassett’s 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R, located in Moton booth #20555, and CJ Pullman’s 1977 Ford Pinto, found in the front of Central Hall Booth #V319.
The 4-Wheel Drive & Off-Road category contenders feature three classic trucks from the early 1970s, including Ringbrothers 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer at the HRIA Booth #23295. Cody Dabney’s 1970 Ford F-250 in South Hall Booth #C07 and Greg Ward’s 1971 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser in North Hall Booth #10215.
Last but not least is the Young Guns 29 & Under category with Cameron Cocalis’s 2015 Scion FR-S found at the Toyo Treadpass booth, Austin Phipps’s 1966 Chevrolet Nova at the Battle of the Builders Booth #10139 and Josh Michels’s 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, located at the Battle of the Builders Booth #10139.
Each of these vehicles is a true work of art, with plenty of intrigue surrounding them. We wish the contenders the best of luck as the panel of industry experts narrows down the selection of vehicles.
