Henry Cavill on Arcane: “I couldn’t stop watching!”

Superman and recently ex-Geralt of Rivia actor Henry Cavill recently revealed that he’s watched Arcane, the animated adaptation of League of Legends, and he’s a big fan.

The high-profile actor was informed about Arcane in an interview with BBC film critic Ali Plumb, and the critic finally had the chance to reconnect with him in order to divulge exactly how he felt after watching the series.

Henry Cavill stayed up late watching Arcane

Plumb couldn’t wait to figure out how his previous recommendation had gone over when interviewing Cavill as a part of the press junkets for Enola Holmes 2, an upcoming film in which Cavill plays famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.

“Did you like Arcane as much as I told you you would?” asked Plumb.

Cavill responded emphatically,:”Yes! I really did!”

Cavill is well-known to be an avid enjoyer of all things nerdy, from Warhammer 40,000 to World of Warcraft, but it seems like this was his first delve into the world of League of Legends.

“I’m so glad you told me!” said Cavill of Plumb turning him onto the series. “When you said it I went home immediately and I was like ‘Right, Natalie [Viscuso], I was told by this guy at work that I should watch Arcane.’ And she was like ‘Oh no, I’ve heard some pretty good things about it.'”

So any League of Legends fans hoping to hear Cavill’s dulcet tones have his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso to thank for his interest.

“I couldn’t stop watching it!” said, Cavill of Arcane’s first season. “It got really late and Natalie was going ‘Right, we should probably go to bed.’ And I was like ‘No no no no no no, gotta keep on watching.’ And she went, ‘Okay, yeah, I’m with you we should keep on watching.'”

A crossover between Cavill and League of Legends is still a very long shot, but at least Arcane has opened the door to Runeterra on a positive note.
