Is God of War Ragnarok coming to PC? Here’s what we know

God of War Ragnarok is easily the biggest gaming hit of 2022. It has impressed both critics and fans, and now PC players can’t wait to experience Kratos’ journey.

The winter season of 2022 is packed with blockbuster titles like Modern Warfare 2 selling record-breaking copies. However, God of War Ragnarok has elbowed past all games in terms of popularity. Sony’s action-adventure is making waves with its cut-throat combat and 120hz performance mode. Besides having 10 nominations in the Game Awards 2022, it has already won hearts worldwide.

However, only PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners have tried the game, leaving the majority of the gaming community out of the fun. Rest assured, God of War Ragnarok will eventually make its way to PC, but when?

When is God of War Ragnarok coming to PC?

Similar to God of War 2018, this latest installment will get a PC port sometime in the future, but it won’t be soon.

God of War 2018 was initially released for PlayStation 4 and didn’t arrive on Windows until January 2022. Sony took its time to roll out the game on PC, which means God of War Ragnarok might take at least one or two years. PC players should prepare themselves for plenty of wait time before they can try out the hit action game.

“Going forward, we’ll see at least a year between releases on PlayStation and on the PC platform, possibly with the exception of live service games,” PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst said.

By this margin, God of War Ragnarok should get a PC port between 2024-2025. It may take longer, considering it’s a larger game in size with real-life visuals and heavy graphics. Even if it does make it to PC, only a few with beast rigs would be able to run it as it acquires 105 GB space on PlayStation 4.
