There are some differences between Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the most important, the legendary Pokemon from each version.
The legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was one of the first pieces of information players received ahead of the release. Koraidon is legendary for the Scarlet version, while Miraidon corresponds to Violet. These Pokemon are on the cover of the games and are distinguishable from each other because, well, one is red and the other purple.
As the copies of the game started to roll out, now we have more information about Koraidon and Miraidon. It is true that these Pokemon function as the rides for the players, they get assigned one legendary as they go to venture into the Paldea region. These rides can be used on land, water, and even the air. The rides are not the final legend of the game.
Even though Pokemon Scarlet and Violet do not follow a linear storyline, it doesn’t mean that players don’t have to meet certain requirements to unlock the end of the game. In the end, players will get to meet the second version of Koraidon or Miraidon for them to catch. This encounter is a high-level battle.
We now know that Koraidon is a Fighting and Dragon type. Miraidon is an Electric and Dragon type. Important information to keep in mind ahead of that final encounter.
What Legendary Pokemon will be in Scarlet and Violet?
Koraidon and Miraidon are the main legendary Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet but not the only special Pokemon. There are four ruinous Pokemon hidden around the Paldea region. In order to get them, players need the eight Gym badges and find the hidden stakes. Once players meet these two requirements, they can visit the shrines and unlock the ruinous Pokemon.
These are the only legendary Pokemon available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet at the moment of their release. More Pokemon could be introduced in the future.
