Here’s everything we know about Need for Speed Unbound

Need for Speed Unbound is all set to rejuvenate the iconic franchise that had gone stale in the past few years.

Need for Speed is a household name in the racing genre of video games. Since 1994, EA has rolled out groundbreaking titles with a new twist featuring supercars from the pipe dreams of racing fans. However, recent installments weren’t precisely at par with the standard EA has set over the years. Need for Speed Unbound’s anime-style trailer had also poured cold water over expectations, but later trailer and teasers convinced the players to hold tight.

Now, the game is a few days from release, and we have compiled all the information players need to tune their steering wheels.

Need for Speed Unbound gameplay

Need for Speed Unbound also includes cars with Burst Nitrous, a new boost tactic that delivers a dizzying rush of speed. Drifting and Grip Turning will build up your Burst Nitrous bar to edge past the opponents when needed. This time, the map is much bigger, so the roads aren’t the only route. But, if you’ve got your car dialed in for street racing, going off-road can be wrong.

The gameplay trailer allowed a peak into the city where racing would take place. From cars to the map, everything in Need for Speed Rebound is a class apart. For starters, players can customize their rides to the fullest, adding a personal touch. After selecting the preferred style, players can customize paint, wrap, driving effects, vanity, cutaways, rims, and more. The game has more than 10,000 customization options for your ride to help transform old boring cars.

Those who were on the fence about the signature NFS Rebound visual effects can turn them off. But it’s worth noting that these effects may help keep eyes on the screen in the game. If you don’t like over-the-top animation, you may opt for something less flashy that still enables you to navigate through nitrous bars.

Akin to the previous games, the screen will have a small radar in the corner, a speedometer on the right side, a lap count on top, and participant names on the left side. So overall, your monitor would look clean. Besides that, you’ll see a whole lot of graffiti and street art.
