As the holidays approach, Discord is continuing the annual tradition of holding its Snowsgiving charity event. For this sixth edition, the platform has chosen to partner with the charity Crisis Text Line, which provides mental health support. The event runs until December 12.

This year, for its sixth edition, Discord will be donating proceeds from its Snowsgiving event to Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit organization providing free 24/7 mental health support via text message. The event, which has just kicked off, will end on Monday, December 12.

The platform has unveiled the Snowsgiving Bot, which once added to users' servers, will be able to launch games like scavenger hunts, but also collect donations directly for the charity. Users participating in these quests can be rewarded with snow-themed animated emojis, video wallpapers and even some further surprises.

Users who complete all Snowsgiving quests before the charity challenge ends on December 12 will be able to watch an "exclusive performance by a popular artist," Discord revealed, without saying more. The exclusive show will take place on Tuesday, December 13. The platform will reveal more information about the gig in the coming days.

Users of Nitro, Discord's premium paid subscription, will receive exclusive perks, with additional rewards, as well as custom emojis, and other goodies, including an expanded selection of snow-themed activities. Players will also have access to 15 new avatar decorations for the holiday season during the week of the Snowsgiving event.

In addition to quests, Discord launched the event with a 25% discount across the site and will donate all proceeds to Crisis Text Line.
