Fox News hosts knowingly lied about election fraud in the weeks following the 2020 election, according to court filings made public from Dominion Voting System’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox Corporation. On air, hosts entertained President Donald Trump‘s conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 election, claiming that fraud on a massive scale explained Joe Biden‘s victory. The fraud was caused in part by Dominion’s voting machines, they claimed. “The Dominion software system has been tagged as one allegedly capable of flipping votes,” said anchor Jeanine Pirro. A grand jury has indicted a Colorado county clerk for taking part in an effort to breach election security in connection to the 2020 election. The charges filed against Mesa County clerk Tina Peters, a Republican, included seven felony and three misdemeanor counts for her involvement in a “deceptive scheme which was designed to influence public servants, breach security protocols, exceed permissible access to voting equipment, and set in motion the eventual distribution of confidential information to unauthorized people.” Deputy Clerk Belinda Knisley was charged on six counts. Groups supportive of former President Donald Trump forged election documents saying he had won Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Michigan’s electoral college votes. Each of them is strikingly similar, which suggest that the fraudulent documents may have been part of a larger plot. The documents are almost exactly the same, even down to the wording, fonts and spacing. The forged documents were sent to the National Archives in December 2020 but were rejected. In Arizona’s case, they even forged the state seal. The National Archives informed the states and sent Arizona Secretary of State Katie Ho...

Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) said in an interview this week that personal lawyer to Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, created a significant amount of the momentum behind the new restrictive voting laws being passed in majority-Republican state legislatures. “This is really the fallout from the 10 weeks of misinformation that flew in from former President Donald Trump,” Duncan said. “I went back over the weekend to really look at where this really started to gain momentum in the legislature, and it was when Rudy Giuliani showed up in a couple of committee rooms and spent hours spreading misinfo...

Former Vice President Mike Pence criticized the 2020 election on Wednesday in his first written comments since leaving office in January. Pence said there were “significant voting irregularities” and “numerous instances of officials setting aside state election law” in the 2020 presidential election. During the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6, some rioters called for Pence’s hanging. The former vice president said those events had “deprived the American people of a substantive discussion in Congress about election integrity in America.” Pence’s remarks were offered in an op-ed published by...

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) will not acknowledge that President Joe Biden legitimately won the 2020 presidential election. On Sunday, Scalise falsely claimed that Biden was elected because “states didn’t follow their election laws during an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl. Karl asked Scalise, “Clear this up for me: Joe Biden won the election; he is the legitimate president of the United States; the election was not stolen. Correct?” “Look, Joe Biden’s the president,” Scalise responded. “There were a few states that did not follow their state laws.” Of the 65 court challenges made regar...

Arizona’s Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich has denied allegations of election fraud coming from the Trump campaign.“If indeed there was some great conspiracy, it apparently didn’t work,” Brnovich said.Brnovich explained that many voters split their ballots – a majority voted for Democrats in the presidential and Senate races while opting for Republicans down-ballot. Arizona’s state legislature also did not flip blue as predicted early on in the election and remains controlled by Republicans.“In Arizona, there was a prediction that the Legislature would flip. It didn’t,” Brnovich said....
