Michael Douglas to receive Honorary Palme d’or at Cannes Film Festival
Longtime Cannes Film Festival attendee Michael Douglas is the recipient of the Honorary Palme d’or this year. The 78-year-old Hollywood star will receive the highest honour in recognition of his legendary career during the Opening Ceremony on May 16. He said: “It is always a breath of fresh air to be at Cannes, which has long provided a wonderful platform for bold creators, artistic audacities, and excellence in storytelling."
