Former Alabama guard JD Davison wins NBA title with Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the 2024 NBA Finals, which means former Alabama men’s basketball player JD Davison, now in Year 2 as a pro, is an NBA champion. Alabama head coach Nate Oats was in attendance on Monday night. Davison, a second-round pick by the Celtics in 2022, appeared in eight games for Boston this season and averaged 2.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 41.7 percent from the field.
