Guess what? We’ll have Oregon football back in 100 days. While that seems like a long ways out, it will get here faster than you think. This season is a special season for many reasons. New conference, new opponents, new rivalries and a new playoff format. Oregon will kick off its 2024 season against the Idaho Vandals at home. However Oregon will open up Big-Ten play against UCLA on September 28 in Los Angeles. This is Dan Lanning’s third season at Oregon. His head coaching record sits at 22-5 with the Ducks. The Ducks have been tabbed as a top five team from many of the national outlets. Oreg...

Well Oregon will enter the B1G this season with some added schedule drama. It was just announced two of Oregon’s games will be on Friday night in Fox’s primetime window. This gives Oregon a chance at adding an extra day of rest following each game that week. More importantly this gives Oregon a chance to shine on a national stage. While Friday night games are unique, these two games will likely be the biggest games on TV that night. By a significant margin. If Oregon wants more voters to see how they look, this is their chance. Oregon will host Michigan State on October 4 in Autzen stadium. Th...

We are in the absolute “dog days of Summer” waiting for actual football. Not gonna lie, I find myself missing college football more and more as the seasons seem to go faster and faster. And I am THOROUGHLY excited for this upcoming season. Yes because Oregon is a contender but also because of the new B1G and playoff schedule. New teams, new scheduling, new venues. It’s going to be a ton of fun. Everyone has October 12 circled. I don’t need to hype up that game any more than it already is. Oregon and Ohio State is taking shape as one of the biggest games of this football season. So you won’t fi...

Well we are in the ‘offseason’ for college football. At least for a couple of months. So as you can see the sites are filled with schedule rankings, head coach rankings, position rankings, power rankings. Just to name a few. I figured I’d throw my hat in the ring as well. I see a lot of really bad lists and frankly I think I can do better. So here goes. With Spring in the window and the transfer portal window mostly closed, here goes my power rankings of the B1G. Ohio State – Have to kick things off with the Buckeyes. They are really, really good and this might be Ryan Day’s year. Michigan wil...

Spring football has come and gone, just like that. And despite a few outliers, the bulk of the transfers have taken place, at least for most of the top schools around the country. Oregon snagged a pair of transfers in the Spring window while many others in the top ten range didn’t really see any movement one way or another. Which means we go into the dog days of Summer where we literally just count the days until football season. Thankfully we have recruiting to keep us occupied. There’s a lot of talk about Oregon and this roster. And rightfully so. It has as much talent as any roster Oregon h...

Last year Oregon was fortunate enough to have one of the best quarterbacks in the country leading its offense. While Bo Nix didn’t win the Heisman, he made the trip to New York as one of the four finalists. This year it would appear Oregon’s offense is in good hands once again. The Ducks went into the transfer portal looking for Nix’s successor and came up with Dillon Gabriel. The former Oklahoma starter entered the portal en route to his third college team. However this transfer brought him much closer to his hometown of Mililani (Hawaii) to finish his career. Oregon has a ton of returning pr...

It would appear Dan Lanning might have just lost a transfer he would likely have preferred to keep at Oregon this Spring. Defensive lineman Ben Roberts announced on his social media his intent to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder figured to be at worst a key part of the defensive tackle rotation this season. Oregon had been linked to some of top defensive lineman transfer names in the portal already. Roberts had this to say in his post on social media regarding his decision. “I am grateful for everybody that has been supporting me throughout my journey at the University of O...
