Dodge has had its online Build and Price tool for a couple of years now, but it hasn’t been known for updating the configurator in a timely manner. This has caused many customers and fans quite a bit of frustration. So once again, they delayed the update to the tool, but now people can piece together their dream 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger muscle cars.
So, what’s a big standout on the 2023 Dodge Charger and 2023 Dodge Challenger configurators? One significant update is the expansion of the SRT Jailbreak program, which was initially introduced in the previous year for the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Redeye Widebody models. However, the program is now available for all supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 models, allowing more owners to unlock the full range of personalization for these iconic cars.
Customers can choose from 14 exterior colors, including the return of four beloved heritage colors, including B5 Blue, Destroyer Gray, Plum Crazy, and Sublime. The return of these colors will excite fans of the classic muscle cars and add even more appeal to the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger. Unfortunately, the Build and Price configurator may not be as helpful as many could hope for as most of Dodge’s 2023 inventory has already been allocated to dealers resulting in many dealers pre-ordering vehicles without waiting for customers to select their preferred options. Meaning customers may have to settle for a car that doesn’t perfectly match their preferences.
The updated build and price configurator for the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger still allows fans to dream up their perfect Dodge muscle car, even though it may not be helpful for those who missed out on the initial allocation of vehicles.

Customers can try to locate a car that closely matches their build through the Horsepower Locator tool to find which dealership their preferred vehicle is allocated to. This tool also helps customers seek out the limited edition Last Call special editions, which currently stands at six total, and soon to be seven with the debut of the finale model on March 20. Teasers have thus far featured cryptic leprechaun themes.
Even as Dodge has been helpful and transparent with “Last Call” muscle car availability, hefty markups will likely still play a significant role in buying unless you find a rare honest dealership.
The 2023 model year of the Dodge Challenger and Charger marks the end of the current generation of LX platform muscle cars. This also means that the Chrysler 300 as we know it is driving into the sunset as well, culminated by the 392 Hemi powered, limited edition 300C. Because on December 31, 2023, production of these heralded muscle cars will cease at the Stellantis Brampton, Ontario Assembly plant for good.
