Penn State kept things highly competitive Sunday, but Nebraska baseball completed a three-game weekend sweep with an 8-5 win in Lincoln.
Gabe Swansen came up big for the Huskers, driving in five runs with a home run, a double and a sacrifice fly. The sophomore outfielder delivered a pair of timely two-RBI swings in the fifth and seventh innings after the Nittany Lions twice had pulled within a single run.
The Huskers now have guaranteed themselves a spot in the Big Ten Tournament, but first comes a three-game road series against Purdue starting Thursday.
