Selling Sunset newcomer Bre Tiesi‘s relationship with Nick Cannon is a major plot point in the newest season of the show. It is central to the friction between Tiesi and her fellow castmate Chelsea Lazkani, who labels Cannon as a “master manipulator.” But Tiesi has now said that the Netflix reality series’ depiction of their relationship difficulties is not accurate.

Tiesi, who shares her son Legendary Love with Cannon, told People that she is “not excited about or thrilled” that the false portrayal is occurring. She further elaborated that it’s all part of the job she signed up for, mentioning that people need to “take it with a grain of salt” and know that there’s a difference between her real life and the show.

In the sixth and latest season, Tiesi said that she and Cannon were in an open relationship. Lazkani took issue with the announcement when she witnessed Tiesi discovering that Cannon had his ninth child with another woman. She claimed that Tiesi seemed “very surprised” and “was very upset.”

She later said, “I think the proliferation of kids and creating broken homes is disgusting. There’s no amount of time in the day that would allow Nick to see those 10-plus babies and give them the love and dedication they need.”

Cannon was mired in controversy after Tiesi told castmate Amanza Smith that he did not have to pay child support after having 10 children. However, her lawyer contradicted the statement, saying that Cannon was still obligated to pay under California law.
