DODGE GIVES SECRET OPTION TO SELECT CHALLENGER DEMON 170 BUYERS

It looks like select 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 buyers were offered a unique Jailbreak option that included one-of-one paint colors. According to a credible forum post, between 20 and 25 customers were selected by Dodge for the Demon 170 Jailbreak option. Each could pick one of 40 colors, including a mix of retro and modern hues for their unique super muscle car.

What Makes The Dodge Jailbreak Option So Special?

All participants of this ultra-rare opportunity were sent samples of all 40 color options, and the first to reply with an email got their color selection. That means just one car will be painted in each color, enhancing the Dodge Challenger Demon 170’s value and rarity. Dodge spokesperson Darren Jacobs recently confirmed that some customers were offered the one-of-one Jailbreak option based on brand loyalty, which is a pretty cool way to reward long-time customers.

As for those that didn’t get the Jailbreak color offer for their 2023 Dodge Demon 170, they are still getting a pretty extraordinary car. The Demon 170 features a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque on E85 (output drops on E10 premium fuel), which enables a claimed 0-60 mph time of 1.66 seconds on a prepped surface without rollout and an NHRA-certified 8.91-second quarter mile at 151.17 mph. Production will be limited, with all reservations for the legendary car already sold out. With an MSRP of $96,666, excluding the $1,595 destination charge and $2,100 gas guzzler tax bump. All of those numbers combine to bring the price to $100,361, which is still quite a steal considering the amount of power and launch this car has for the price. If you want anything similar, you’d be looking at a significantly higher price tag within the hypercar realm.

One buyer paid $700,000 for the final build slot at auction, so this car is definitely no joke. That said, Dodge hasn’t revealed how much the Jailbreak paint option will cost those customers that selected to get it, but rumors put the one-of-one paint jobs at $30,000. So, it’s hard to be sure if the 20 – 25 customers are getting a deal since they’re essentially paying for a second car just for a specialized color option if the rumor is to be believed.
