When Ford made the 7.3L Godzilla V8 Crate Engine available through its performance division, it was clear that there would be some pretty spectacular builds. Though there was a hiccup with the intake manifold that came stock with the engine when put in smaller vehicles, that has been resolved, and now some beautiful builds are bound to be created. One such build is an entirely custom show-quality Godzilla engine that can produce over 1,000 horsepower.
Supercharged Godzilla V8 Makes Over 1,000 HP
REVan Evan recently posted a video to his YouTube channel which showcases this beautiful show-quality supercharged 7.3L Godzilla V8 engine with polished additions, a beautiful blue paint job, and a supercharger. It looks like something you would see within the engine bay of something that regularly attends car shows. When you discover what this engine is intended for, it becomes even more apparent that it is set to be mated to something extraordinary.
Imagine feeling 1,000 horsepower in this.
Flashback to 1932, a time very few can say they lived to see. This was a time when Ford had just three models under production the Model B, the Model 18, and the Model 40. Each succeeded the Model A, but the focus of this story is the Model B, a pickup with an updated four-cylinder engine that likely didn’t even produce enough power to surpass the 100-pony mark. But for one well-cared-for 1932 Ford Model B, it’s about to have an entirely new life with the addition of this beautiful supercharged 7.3L Godzilla V8 engine that likely makes ten times more power than the stock Model B ever had going to its wheels.
Though the supercharged 7.3L Godzilla V8 was placed on a Dyno to test its horsepower numbers, Evan didn’t get any footage of the atomic-spewing lizard in action. There were some images of other parts of the engine assembly featured in the video, which all appear to feature some subtle modifications, further showing that this engine is meant to be shown off.
