Baldur's Gate 3 Will Let You Change Appearance, Pronouns, & More With New Update

By Giuseppe Nelva

Today Larian Studios revealed a major piece of kit that will be included in the next update of Baldur's Gate 3, a magic mirror for your camp.

According to the announcement made on X (formerly Twitter) mirror will live in your camp alongside your heroes and will let you change your character's appearance, pronouns, and voice.

Yet, it won't be omnipotent, as it won't be able to change your race, body type, and origins.

At the moment, we know that the mirror will be included in Patch 3, which will be the third major update for the game following Patch 1 and Patch 2 and will be released tomorrow, September 22.

Baldur's Gate 3 is currently available for PC and PlayStation 5, while an Xbox Series X|S version is coming within the year,

Larian had originally left out Microsoft's platforms due to difficulty implementing split-screen co-op on Series S, but they bypassed the problem simply by yanking the feature out from the less powerful console.

You can also read our review of the game, in which our Erren Van Duine mentions that she " wasskeptical at first following a lengthy Early Access period, but actually putting the time in, and seeing just what a wealth of content and treasure there is to behold here, it’s clear that developer Larian has created something truly special."

It's difficult not to agree with her, and it's great to see that Larian continues to be so dedicated to improving that experience by ironing out the issues and adding new features.
