CADILLAC CT5-V BLACKWING WITH RAREST COLOR IS FOR AUCTION ON NO RESERVE

The 2022 model year for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing was made unique with the availability of the limited edition Dark Emerald Frost paint. Known as color code G7W, the matte dark green paint was limited to 150 Blackwing sedans, making it exceedingly rare. Of those, just 115 CT5-V Blackwings were allocated to receive this exceptional and extremely finicky paint. Even the refreshed 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is absent of this matte-finished hue.

Though if you missed your chance to get it, an opportunity has come up as one such CT5-V Blackwing has gone up for auction at no reserve on Bring A Trailer.

2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Dark Emerald Frost: Details

The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in question features the Dark Emerald Frost paint job with a Natural Tan and Jet Black leather upholstery. The car only has 9 miles on the odometer. It is equipped with the Driver Assist, Carbon Fiber 1, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, and Sueded Microfiber Wrapped Trim packages as well as an Ultraview sunroof, Magnetic Ride Control, bronze-finished 19″ wheels, heated and ventilated massaging front seats, and more. The car still retains its window sticker.

The paint job was priced at $3,925, making it the most expensive paint option available on the Blackwing sedans, and for good reason: The paint is exceptional. The matte finish requires very special care. General Motors included special instructions in the user manuals of these cars painted in Dark Emerald Frost detailing how to care for the matte finish properly. Owners were cautioned against using an automatic car wash equipped with brushes and scrubbers and a stern warning to never use waxes or polishes.

Since this particular car is also equipped with the Carbon Fiber 1 Package, it also has a front splitter and rear spoiler, which compliments the paint job wonderfully while giving the car a slightly more sporty style than it already has. As of the time of writing, the CT5-V Blackwing in Dark Emerald Frost is sitting at a bid of $90,000, with five days left before the auction closes.
