Farooq Abdullah misses 2nd ED summons in JK CA case

Srinagar:

National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah has once again failed to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Srinagar, marking the second time in a month.

According to sources, despite being summoned by the ED, Abdullah did not show up at their office for questioning regarding alleged financial irregularities within the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

The enforcement directorate had called Abdullah for questioning on Monday evening, following a previous summons on January 11, which he also missed.

Abdullah has been embroiled in a money laundering case related to purported financial discrepancies within the JKCA since 2022, when a chargesheet was filed against him. The ED has interrogated him multiple times, with Abdullah having previously recorded his statement in the same case back in 2019.
