ABC Tuesdays triumphs with three new seasons

ABC has an absolutely stacked line-up of new seasons of fan-favorite shows this Tuesday, February 20th 2024.

First up, Will Trent season 2 is finally set to premiere on the network at 8 pm (and streaming on Hulu). The first season of the acclaimed American police procedural began in January of last year, introducing audiences to Ramón Rodríguez’s Wilbur “Will” Trent, a Special Agent in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Season 2 begins with a car bomb launching a new investigation.

Next up on this triple bill, it’s here at last: The Rookie season 6. The police procedural starring Nathan Fillion as John Nolan has remained a beloved staple on ABC, and fans have been desperate for new installments ever since last May. No more waiting folks, it starts at 9 pm.

Then, last but not least, The Good Doctor returns for season 7 at 10 pm. We can expect to see Shaun and Lea navigate the challenges of parenthood when the medical drama brings us back into the fold, as well as a reunion with other popular characters.

Sure as anything, ABC Tuesdays are back with a mighty bang.

Will Trent season 2 has a time jump

Erika Christensen (who plays Angie Polaski) recently discussed Will Trent season 2 with ABC7NY.

There’s a six-month time jump to anticipate, and Angie is now back in the field after recovering from the incident at the end of the first season.

“[Angie’s doing well because she’s mentally so strong and knows that for her sanity she needs to get back on the job as soon as she can,” Erika explained, while addressing working again with Ramón as Will: “The scenes that they have together alone are so beautiful, the way that they are written, they are always written with such depth that shows their history.

“But I also love when they are around other people and they still know each other better than anyone else knows each other so there’s always that little glance or inside joke glance.”

Episode 1, titled Me Llamo Will Trent, is sure to be a brilliant way to kick off a terrific night of TV.
