Hollywood awards ceremonies are famed for hurried and awkward speeches, amusing pop culture references from presenters, and a lavish gift bag given to nominees and this year’s SAG Awards were no different.
But while the Golden Globes treated nominees to a staggering gifting range worth $500,000 this year, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards gave nominees a more understated offering of goodies in its 2024 gift bag.

The contents of the Nominee Gift Bag are donated by a range of SAG Awards partners and includes products that are of more use in everyday life than the African safari offered by the Emmy Awards last month.
Featured in the gift bag are:
- Selkirk Sport pickleball paddle, custom branded for the SAG Awards.
- Vegan and non-vegan chocolate bars from Tony’s Chocolonely, custom branded for the SAG Awards.
- Complimentary year-long membership to Calm, a meditation, sleep and relaxation app.

As the Nominees Gift Bag featured a pickleball paddle (pickleball is a sport similar to tennis but played on a smaller court), we hope that the various nominees are planning a big tournament in the not-too-distant future. That’s something we’d pay to see.
