The soldier was sentenced to 29 years in prison by a Russian court.

Bodnar noted that she had read about Dmytro on the Facebook Los Solomas Kyiv community page.

"I still can't get my head around it: the whole world sees that Ukrainian prisoners are being tortured by starvation. I'm not talking about other tortures, but starvation is obvious! Even without other evidence. And the world does ab-so-lute-ly nothing," the activist said.

Bodnar noted that she only publishes photos of Ukrainian prisoners whom Russia "brags about.” The condition of those who have not been reported for years is unknown.

"Despair at being powerless to influence their rescue. Despair of seeing torture while their POWs are being fed here three times a day," Bodnar said.

The activist also noted that there is no publicity about the prisoners at the state level, and only notifications about actions organized by relatives and friends of Ukrainian defenders are found online.

"I won't say that the government is doing nothing, because exchanges are carried out occasionally," Bodnar said.

“But where is the publicity at the state level? Campaigns in support of the captives? The involvement of these United24 ambassadors?”
