PAXPOWER JACKAL SUV PACKAGE ADDS SUPERCHARGED V8 POWER TO TAHOE, YUKON AND ESCALADE

If you aren’t aware, PaxPower is responsible for building radical versions of the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2, capable of battling the Ford F-150 Raptor R and Ram 1500 TRX. A similar treatment has been given to the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV with the newly announced PaxPower Jackal package.

PaxPower GM SUV Jackal Package: Details

The Paxpower Jackal packages include new tubular control arms and 2.5-inch coilovers from leading brands like Fox Racing, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, and King Racing Shocks. PaxPower states that the Jackal package gives vehicles around 3 inches of lift at the front and an extra inch at the back. That provides the fenders enough room to fit 35-inch off-road tires onto the vehicles, which also adds to the overall height of the cars. But improved suspension and bigger tires aren’t the only things PaxPower includes with the Jackal Package.

On the performance side of things, GM SUVs equipped with the 6.2-liter V8 engine can be outfitted with a Whipple supercharger, which bumps output from 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque to 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The company claims the same amount of power as the Cadillac Escalade-V, but that model is rated at 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft, so that claim is a little off. But still, the figures are nothing to scoff at and provide more than enough power to work or play. PaxPower also adds an engine control module recalibration to manage the extra power. Meanwhile, the Jackal package includes a Borla dual exhaust system for a more enjoyable experience when giving the V8 the mojo.

If that wasn’t enough, customers could also order options for their GM SUVs through PaxPower, including exterior graphics, power retractable running boards, and a Brembo Big Brake Kit from GM Performance. Better stopping power is always a plus. There is also an option to apply custom interiors to your beloved SUVs, which is pretty cool. Pricing will vary depending on the vehicle, but PaxPower states there will be multiple Jackal SUV packages with a starting price of around $15,000.
