Trump And Tim Scott Dominate South Carolina Post-Primary Campaign Trail

Following former President Trump’s GOP primary win in South Carolina, Tim Scott joined Trump on stage in Charleston.

“I’ll just ask one survey question, and you better answer it loud and clear. Is South Carolina Trump country?” Scott asked the crowd.

Scott continues to lambast Nikki Haley, questioning why she hasn’t dropped out of the race.

“I would expect a 20-plus point win in a home state where she was the governor and a state representative… if that doesn’t send a clear message, I’m not sure what does,” said Scott.

Ahead of the South Carolina primaries, the Trump campaign released a new ad attacking Haley, voiced by Scott.

The only Black senator on the US Capitol joined Trump at Rock Hill and at the Black Conservative Federation in Columbia, causing speculation first reported by The Pavlovic Today whether Trump will tap Scott to be his VP.

Scott, Ramaswamy, Noem, Donalds, Gabbard, and Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis have been confirmed by Trump as being on the shortlist.

Prior to these events, Scott has inserted himself into the Trump campaign, appearing at every public event in South Carolina, chipping away at votes for Haley, and turning them into a vote for Trump.

“Let South Carolina send a message to all America. The Republican primary is over, and Donald Trump is our nominee,” said Scott at Rock Hill.
