Ashley Phillips has made quite the impression at Plymouth Argyle since making the switch from Tottenham Hotspur last month.
The 18-year-old joined the Pilgrims on loan until the end of the season and has already racked up 10 appearances in all competitions.
Plymouth boss Ian Foster has lauded the Tottenham youngster as ‘excellent’ after hitting the ground running in the Championship.
Despite dropping to the bench for the first time last weekend at Middlesbrough, Ashley Phillips has seemingly caught the eye behind the scenes at Plymouth.

The Athletic claims that despite being quiet off the pitch, Phillips has already displayed his willingness to impose himself in training at Plymouth.
Indeed, it’s noted that the centre-back quickly showed he’s not afraid to get stuck in and throw himself into challenges in training.
Phillips joined Tottenham from Blackburn Rovers last summer but was yet to make his debut before heading out on loan. The defender has impressed in the Championship so far and will undoubtedly benefit from first-team experience.
He will be hoping to force his way back into Foster’s side after dropping to the bench in the 2-0 win at Boro.
Reports have suggested that Ange Postecoglou rates Phillips highly and believes he has great potential.
If Phillips continues to impress at Home Park Stadium, he may well be able to force his way into Postecoglou’s plans next term.
Of course, he’s unlikely to become a starter at Spurs anytime soon given Postecoglou’s options in his position. Yet, that fourth-choice centre-back spot is up for grabs at the moment.
Whether or not Spurs move for another defender this summer remains to be seen but Phillips clearly has a bright future ahead of him in north London.
