Two key Tottenham players spotted back at Hotspur Way ahead of Crystal Palace this weekend

It seems as if Ange Postecoglou has enjoyed a huge boost in training ahead of Crystal Palace’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Postecoglou has had two long weeks off to improve his Spurs side after defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers capped off a frustrating run in February.

It was by no means a terrible month for Tottenham, but having picked up just four points from a possible nine, Postecoglou’s side lost pace in the race for fourth.

But perhaps what proved most disappointing is this was supposed to be the month in which it all came together again.

James Maddison and Micky van de Ven were back from injury, Son Heung-min and Yves Bissouma back from international tournaments, and yet performances weren’t convincing.

Journalist Alasdair Gold thought Postecoglou had some worrying issues to address during the break, and hoped the squad would return with a fresh attitude.

That being said, it’s not all doom and gloom, and there is plenty of reason for optimism.

And judging by a video Tottenham have just uploaded on Tik Tok, it seems Postecoglou could have his first choice full-backs in place once again against Palace.

Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie arrive at Tottenham training before Palace

Both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie could be seen arriving for training at Hotspur Way in Spurs’ video advertising EA SPORTS FC.

And given how Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have struggled to deputise for the pair, that should be very good news.

Royal in particular proved that he wasn’t quite equipped for the demands of Postecoglou’s fairly unique full-back role.

And perhaps that explains why the Brazilian should be one of the first players sold this summer, as Tottenham look to progress.

If Porro and Udogie fare well in training, and are ready to start for Tottenham against Palace, then we will perhaps get a peek at what Postecoglou’s strongest XI looks like with all available.

The biggest decisions will surely come in both midfield and attack.

Postecoglou again needs to choose two from Pape Matar Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma.

And in attack, it would seem as if Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski are competing for just the one spot alongside Richarlison and Son.

All that being said, one Tottenham player out on loan definitely didn’t enjoy a good display last night.
