About 60 new models of equipment and other materials have been added to the inventory of the Ukrainian army. These are weapons of Ukrainian and foreign production, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk notes that in February 2024, 60 weapons were codified and approved for use, compared to only 33 last year.

According to him, the number of Ukrainian-made weapons is growing. Among the new models of equipment are several electronic warfare devices, in particular, the so-called trench electronic means that will effectively counteract enemy FPV drones.

Also, six samples of automotive and special equipment and a 120-mm mortar made in Ukraine were approved for operation.

Other novelties include demining equipment, dynamic protection elements for armored vehicles, and ammunition for drones.

Ukrainian-made drones

The Ukrainian army already has dozens of domestically produced drones in service. These are not only unmanned aerial vehicles but also surface drones.

Earlier, Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin said that Ukraine had launched mass production of a domestic analog of the Shaheds.

According to him, over the past year, the Ukrainian defense industry has grown sixfold.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that Ukraine has already caught up with Russia in terms of the number of long-range kamikaze drones. He also noted that technologies would soon be available that would allow the military to control drones far from the front.
