Authorities are investigating a fiery crash that killed an Audubon man Friday evening.
Matthew T. Martin, 41, of Audubon was driving east on the Atlantic City Expressway when his SUV struck a tree in the center median, according to Sgt. Charles Marchan of the New Jersey State Police. The vehicle caught fire in the crash.
State troopers responded to the crash in the area of milepost 36.9 in Winslow Township around 6:43 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Martin sustained fatal injuries from the crash, Marchan said Saturday morning.
No additional details were provided by authorities and the crash is under investigation.
