The Regime with Kate Winslet on HBO

The Regime is a political satire TV miniseries that premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, March 3rd 2024, at 9 pm ET.

Kate Winslet stars as Elena Vernham, a former physician who is now the chancellor of a fictional European autocracy. The series takes place over a year within the palace of an authoritarian regime that’s quickly falling prey to domestic turmoil and unrest among civilians.

Elena grows paranoid that she’ll lose it all. Desperate for somebody to confide in, she begins opening up to a soldier named Herbert Zubak (played by Matthias Schoenaerts).

We chronicle her as she attempts to maintain high levels of power, and the show is packed with hilarious jokes and thought-provoking commentary.
