Woman knew about sexual assaults of children, didn’t report them, authorities allege

A woman has been charged after investigators alleged that she had knowledge of sexual assaults against children and did not report them, officials said.

Shanasia Taylor, 32, a warehouse worker from Teaneck, was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.

A person contacted the special victims unit of the Prosecutor’s Office earlier in the day to report the allegations. Prosecutors did not say whether a suspect has been charged in the alleged assaults.

Taylor is being held at Bergen County Jail pending her first court appearance. No other information was immediately available.
