'What a sick, warped individual': Trump hammered over new report of dictator praise

Reacting to a new report that Donald Trump has demonstrated an inordinate amount of affection for Nazi leader Adolph Hitler, the Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson called out the former president for being “warped.”

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” kicked off Tuesday by discussing former White House chief of staff John Kelly reportedly having to talk Trump down after he stated, “Hitler did some good things.”

That, in turn, set Robinson off after co-host Joe Scarborough commented that there is a pattern of Trump praising dictators and authoritarians.

“Donald Trump has told us, like, 57,000 times who he is,” Robinson began. “We see clearly who he is and what a sick, warped individual he happens to be.”

“I mean, it's hard to look at him any other way,” he continued. “Yes, you always follow the money with Trump, but it's more than his lust for money, it is more than his narcissism. There is this authoritarian bent, this fawning over authoritarian figures.”

"I know we're going to talk about it later, but Viktor Orban at Mar-a-lago, are you kidding me? This is the great guy, the great leader he wants to praise?” he added. “It's just sick. It amazes me, and I'm sure it amazes General Kelly and amazes a lot of other people. That more Americans, that all Americans don't see this in Donald Trump and don't fear it and reject it.”

“Again, here we are. He's, you know, going to be the Republican candidate, and there's a possibility he could be president again. It scares the willies out of General Kelly, and it'll scare the willies out of all of us,” he concluded.
