Report: Europa League club are worried their manager will leave this summer, Chelsea reportedly want him

Reports have claimed that one manager who is reportedly on Chelsea’s list has now left his club worried that he will leave at the end of the season.

According to The Times, Brighton are concerned that Roberto De Zerbi is going to push to leave the club after what has been a relatively underwhelming season at the Amex.

There is reportedly a lot of pressure right now on Mauricio Pochettino, whose side are currently in the bottom half of the table.

They were also defeated in embarrassing circumstances in the League Cup final against Liverpool, seeing his trophy drought in this country continue.

It has been reported that some at the club have begun to line-up a number of candidates for the role already, even though the role is not actually available as of right now.

One of those who has been named as a potential future manager isDe Zerbi, after doing an impressive job taking over from former Blues boss Graham Potter.

De Zerbi worrying Brighton about leaving

He has taken charge of the Seagulls in the Europa League this season, and although they had been going along nicely they took a big hit last week in the form of a 4-0 defeat to Roma.

It will surely have put doubt in a number of supporters minds that he would be the right man for the job, as he stuck to his guns to drastically bad circumstances.

The report has now gone on to say that Brighton are concerned he will leave the club, and it is easy to see why based on how often they part ways with some of their better players.

Despite playing hardball for most of the summer, they still sold Moises Caicedo to Chelsea and therefore lost arguably their best player from last season without spending big on a replacement.
