As if the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drama couldn’t get any thicker this season, one of the cast members suffered a scary medical emergency during part three of the ladies’ get-together. After Kathy Hilton entered the studio, fans were left wondering what happened to Sutton Stracke as paramedics were called.
During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion, Andy Cohen asks Erika Jayne who she thinks is “most afraid” of Kathy Hilton before Sutton takes a funny turn. Erika said: “I feel like she lost consciousness for a second.”
What happened to Sutton Stracke on RHOBH?
The Bravo drama was turned up a notch on Wednesday night when Sutton Stracke took a turn for the worse at the RHOBH reunion.
While Andy and Erika are talking, Sutton falls to her left onto her friend, Garcelle Beauvais before her co-stars ask: “Are you OK?” and “What’s wrong?”
Andy asks if Sutton wants “water” before paramedics are called and she’s told she’s “shaking.”
Garcelle adds: “She was saying she was hot.”
Paramedics rush to Sutton’s side
As Sutton shakes sitting on the reunion couch, paramedics rush to her side.
Sutton gets her blood pressure checked and explains she “got a little scared.”
When Garcelle says Sutton “said she was hot,” Kathy tells her: “Sutton, you’re 49 years old, it’s bound to happen.”
The RHOBH star is told her “blood pressure is very high” as she exits the set.
Some fans joked the star “carrying the whole season on her back” contributed to her health scare at the reunion.
Star ‘still didn’t feel 100%’
Sutton’s co-stars shared words of encouragement as she was taken off to her trailer for a check-up.
As she walked off, she began shaking less and got something to eat and drink.
Sutton had a medical assessment while Garcelle stayed by her side. She seemed relieved as she was told: “You’re going to be OK, we got you.”
Kathy teased in Sutton’s absence: “It’s a good way of getting out of being here.”
Speaking exclusively to Bravo’s Daily Dish, the reality TV star explained how her “body shut down” at the reunion.
Her blood pressure “went to 175 over 120,” she began vomiting, and was unable to return to the reunion.
She and Garcelle went to the ER where more tests were conducted including blood work and a chest X-ray.
Sutton explained she wasn’t taking care of herself the best she could. She said: “…they just said, ‘You are suffering from exhaustion and dehydration’… And on top of it, I had a very severe case of bronchitis.”
Giving an update on how her health is today, she “…paid her regular doctor a visit and received antibiotics. Afterward, she stayed home for 10 days to rest.”
She “still didn’t feel 100%,” per Women’s Health, but after another round of steroids, she began feeling better.”
